Sound like you?

It feels like you could lose it all tomorrow and be living under a bridge. You feel the pressure to provide financially for your family and no matter how many times you check your bank account or your portfolio it never feels like “enough”.

You’re allowed to get curious about what YOU really need.

I’m here for you.

You thought once you were making a certain amount of money or had enough invested, then you would feel secure. You thought you wouldn’t have to worry about unexpected expenses, wanting to make a career change or giving your kids the support you didn’t have growing up. You have been so focused on accumulating more and more than you haven’t been able to stop and get curious about why money hasn’t brought you safety and what you actually need to feel calm and secure.

How I can help

Therapy for financial anxiety can help you gain insight into why you still feel anxious regardless of how much money you have and help you take action to give yourself what you are really needing.

I create a comfortable space where my clients can speak openly about their experiences related to money without fear of judgement. Many of my clients share that they feel some relief in our first session just being able to talk about their financial anxiety out loud with someone who gets it. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist I help clients gain insight into why they think, feel and behave with money the way they do within the context of the family they come from and the larger social systems that influence them.

While having insight into your relationship with money is helpful, it is only the first step toward meaningful, long-lasting change. Once we understand the “why”, then we can move into what you are really needing that money hasn’t been able to give you. I help you identify actions you can begin to take that give you more of what you need and less of what you don’t. This might include setting boundaries for yourself or in relationships, establishing a mindfulness practice, taking care of your physical health, learning to feel and cope with your feelings, and/or learning and practicing radical self-compassion,

Here’s what we’ll do together

Financial therapy can help you feel at ease with the money you have.

Together we will unpack the stories you have been telling yourself about yourself and money, many of which have been unconscious and outside of your awareness. We will name the ways in which these stories aren’t your fault. They are the unique and complex combination of many systemic factors that have led you to this point in your life. We will work together to identify ways that work for you to calm your nervous system so that you can talk about and interact with your money with a sense of ease instead of from a place of fear. We will implement strategies for over or under spending so that your spending aligns with what is most important to you.

What we’ll work on

You’ll walk away with —

An increased capacity to feel and manage your feelings that come up around money.

02

The ability to confidently make both big and small financial decisions that align with your values.

03

A deeper understanding of yourself and connection with others.

04

A toolbox of skills to manage the ups and downs of life and relationships.
